This years theme is the Renewable Home Energy Hackathon! Last time the theme was bicycles. This time we are challenging fossil fuels with renewable energy and it is going to be epic!

This free to join event is about 5 teams ( randomly selected on the day from the list of registrants), getting 12 hours to address a problem and create a prototype of the items which they conceptualise and design during the day. It is a lot of fun, creativity and meeting new people.

Have you ever had an idea for an invention but couldn't materialize it? Have you ever had a business plan that you couldn't follow through with due to high manufacturing and other costs?

3D printing gives you revolutionary speed for bringing ideas into reality. We want you to be part of impacting the global reduction of fossil fuels. Renewable energy is not just the common ones that come to mind like solar, wind and water. It includes you and your interactions with your environment. How much energy can you transform or generate? The solutions are more creative than technical, we feel. Help us to prove that.

Extra info, resources and simple electrical building blocks will be given to you at the start of the event to give you some starting points that you and your team can work from.

Come and be part of an exciting atmosphere of team work, creativity and "world changing".

We at 3D Printshopen together with MindPark are happy to have you join in on Saturday the 1st of October 2016 (09h00 - 21h30).

Join like minded people, students, entrepreneurs, and problem solvers.

There are spaces for 20 -25 eager individuals, whether you're a student, not studying, entrepreneur or designer, whatever your strengths are your team needs you.

You don't need to have any CAD or design skills, there will be someone on your team who can help with the CAD drawing. You will also be able to use 3D printers on site to make a prototype. You also do not need to have electrical / technical knowledge. Creativity and a desire to make a diference is all you need.

Using your collective intellects and our 3D printers you will have a  physical prototype by the end of the day.

The winning solution will be the one that best fulfills the following criteria.

1. Innovative Idea

2. Functional design

3. Biggest impact

4. Aesthetic design

Feel like adding some prestige to your name?

Contestants get free lunch, dinner and snacks during the day.

Due to the fantastic overwhelming response, all the team places have been filled for this event.
